The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) auction is slated for December 19, 2023, in Dubai, marking the first time the auction will be held outside India. Each team will have a salary purse of Rs 100 crore, a Rs 5 crore increase from the previous IPL auction in 2023.
Teams are required to submit the list of released players by November 15, 2024, as reported by ESPNcricinfo. Interestingly, the IPL 2024 auction will coincide with the India vs South Africa 2nd ODI at St George’s Park in Gqeberha. Additionally, fans can anticipate the return of Australia’s premier pacer, Mitchell Starc, to the IPL fold, as he has confirmed his participation in the 2024 season.
